1. Improvements

For the XetaBase 1.7.0 release we have been focussed on improving the security of the system and extending the Single Sign On functionality helping us move towards being more secure and reliable. 

The key improvements we have made include: 

• Adding support for SAML to the Single Sign On functionality 
• Improving the way permissions are provided for Single Sign On 
• Ensuring the new Single Sign On functionality can be automatically deployed 
• Updating security dependencies in our deployment code (Helm charts) 

1.1 OpenCGA version 2.9.0 and OpenCGA Enterprise Version 1.7.0 

The key functionality we have added includes: 

• Implementing a default data release version for each CellBase version 
• Automating the Syncing of groups on login, when Single Sign On is used 

1.2 CellBase version 5.5.0 

The key functionality we have added includes: 

• Implementing a default data release version for each CellBase version 
• Improvements to the build process to deal with dependencies 

1.3 IVA version 2.9.0 

The key functionality we have added includes: 

• Improving the displayed information in the Variant Grid 
• Adding automated testing during the build phase of development

2. Bug Fixes:

There have been no specific bugs fixed in this version, however it includes all bug fixes made in the following patch release: 

• 1.2.15, 1.5.2 and 1.6.1

3. Future Improvements:

Improvements which may come to future XetaBase updates include: 

• Implementation of Pharmacogenomics data including displaying in IVA 
• Continuing to improve our testing frameworks and ability to complete automated testing 
• Improving the monitoring and security of the system
