1. Improvements
For the XetaBase 1.6.0 release we have been focussed on enabling Single Sign On and making configuration of IVA easier. We have also continued to increase the breadth and depth of our automated testing. These are all helping us move towards providing a stable and reliable system, which is easily configured to meet users needs.
- The key improvements we have made include:
- Allowed customers to enable Single Sign On functionality for their installation
- Enhanced the Admin section of IVA to include a tool to configure Studies
- Reimplemented Pedigree diagrams to include three generations
- New landing page to login to the system
- Updated the system to use the latest version of Exomiser
- Added further automation tests, including a framework for Asynchronous tests and optimising the configuration and running of them
1.1 OpenCGA version 2.8.0
The key functionality we have added includes:
- Enabled customers to configure the access of their installation using Single Sign On functionality
- Reimplemented Pedigree Diagrams to include 3 generations
- Updated Exomiser to version 13.1.0
1.2 CellBase version 5.4.0
The key functionality we have added includes:
- Added tokenisation functionality to control access to data sources.
- Allows users to access additional commercial data sources, if they have a valid licence
1.3 IVA version 2.8.0
The key functionality we have added includes:
- Added the ability to configure Studies via IVA in the Admin section
- Ability to change, preview and apply configuration changes to IVA, via IVA directly
- Added a new Landing page to login to the system
- Added a logo to IVA to show we meet Clinical Safety checks
- Reimplemented Pedigree Diagrams to include 3 generations and displaying in IVA
- Made the CellBase and Data Release Versions used for a Case visible in IVA
- Enabled the automated interpretation method used for variant prioritisation in a Case to be displayed in IVA
- Enabled the Exomiser Rank and P-Value to be displayed in the Sample Variant Browser when Exomiser has been used for variant prioritisation in a Case.
- Additional scores can be seen via a tooltip when hovering the mouse over the column
- Enabled the Exomiser results to be displayed in a new tab, for a selected variant from the Sample Variant Browser, when Exomiser has been used for variant prioritisation in a Case.
1.4 Dev Ops
The key functionality we have added includes:
- Added the ability to automatically clone and deploy environments. Enabling quicker installations and easier testing and troubleshooting
- Added additional monitoring, specifically around event management
- Further optimisation of Kubernetes to enable REST autoscaling
2. Bug Fixes
The key bug fixes are:
- Included all fixes made in the Patch releases since last major release (1.5.1 and 1.2.14)
- Fixed an intermittent error when calculating the consequence types
3. Future Improvements
Improvements which may come to future XetaBase updates include:
- Additional Configuration added to the Admin section
- Adding further reference data to CellBase, including Pharmacogenomics data
- Continue to extend the automated testing and increase the capabilities of our testing
- Additional Automation tests – Expanding our Performance testing
- Further optimising how we run automated tests
- General maintenance; security updates, dev ops improvements, increased automation of deployments
